First of all, it is not illegal to take pictures in a public place, even of the people walking down the street. To help you ensure that your photo snapping is acceptable, avoid being too conspicuous. Turn off as many noisemaking parts of your camera as you can. Don’t wear loud or obnoxious clothing. Just go out and shoot pictures on the street. Take your camera with you everywhere you go. If you always have your camera out and ready, it’s much easier to capture a picture that you see coming together. Take as many pictures as possible. With digital cameras available, you don’t have to pay to develop unwanted pictures. So go ahead and take as many as possible.
